This company produced ironstone china in Japan, particularly for export. Items marked "Nippon" were made between 1891 and 1921 to comply with U.S. import laws. After 1921, items were marked "Japan" or "Made in Japan". Some pieces made during the post-WWII occupation period are marked "Made in Occupied Japan".

Ironstone was favored for its durability and was widely produced in England and other countries, including Japan.
